Available above is the 4 or less minute trailer for the upcoming Ian Curtis biopic "Control" by Anton Corbijn. Shot with a budget of just 6 million dollars (peanuts compared to many other filmprojects) it features the unknown actor Sam Riley playing the role of Ian Curtis (1956-1980), lead singer of Joy Division. The screenplay for the film is based on the book "Touching From a Distance", by Curtis' wife, Deborah, who is also a co-producer of the film. Titled after one of Joy Division's more memorable songs, "She's Lost Control", the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, on 17 May 2007 (MY BIRTHDAY!!) picking up the top prize for Best European Film. Ask your local independant movie store or track it down on line. Must see for any true Ian Curtis/Joy Division Fan.
